Nitish to pay for revoking my decisions: Manjhi
PURNIA: Former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi accused CM Nitish Kumar of hatching a conspiracy to dethrone him to get back into power since he could not live without it for long.
Addressing the divisional ‘garib swabhiman sammelan’ of HAM (Hindustani Awam Morcha) on Zila School campus in Purnia on Monday, Manjhi said, “I have never aspired for power during my over three decades of political career and would have abjured the CM seat if Nitish had asked me so in plain words.

But Nitish resorted to political maneuverings and wily measures.”
Taking a jibe at Nitish for his new found love and camaraderie with his one-time arch political rival Lalu Prasad, Manjhi said he could stoop to any level to stick to power.
He said the voters would deliver the real blow to the CM during the assembly election later this year.
Besides former ministers Brishen Patel, Shahid Ali Khan and Nitish Mishra, Purnia deputy mayor and Yuva Shakti leader Santosh Yadav also addressed the gathering.
Baring his angst against Nitish for annulling the 34 cabinet decisions he took in the last week before quitting CM’s office, Manjhi asserted the people have not taken lightly the annulment and the government led by Nitish “will have to reap the consequences for this”.
The speakers also raised the issue of washing the statue of socialist veteran Ram Manohar Lohia after former chief minister had garlanded it at Supaul on Sunday.
